Enjoy Subdivisions in it's entirety:
Whether it was at the age of 3 playing around on his grandmother's electric organ, improvising piano melodies on a Wurlitzer upright in his teens, or exploring the world of synth's in college and beyond, Rob has always had his hands on the keys. He is inspired by electronic music geniuses such as Bluetech, Plaid and Lusine just as much as progressive rock pioneers like Rush, Yes, and Dream Theatre. Rob is a versatile keyboardist adept at honing just the right sounds for the songs that we cover.
Lauren, whose maiden last name is Cozolino, was created and raised in Northern Westchester, New York. She started playing piano at age 5 and you could usually find her singing in the car, shower, and later in school plays and All County chorus. While attending college and changing careers from health to finance to fashion, pursuing music remained consistently important. She recorded a few pop originals and then formed the rock band Wake Up Johnny with her brother and recorded 2 original Cd's. They played local venues, alternating originals and covers and opened up for the band Nelson. After taking a hiatus she joined a national touring country band, singing backup harmonies and dancing. This included opening up for Jo-Dee Messina and playing music festivals with major acts including Sammy Kershaw, Big and Rich and Keith Urban. Presently she is back to her rock roots and happy to be the lead vocalist in the band Spiral Logic surrounded by very talented musicians while working as a freelance visual fashion stylist.
Joe is a hard-hitting rock drummer with broad influences that include Neil Peart, Gavin Harrison, Ray Luzier, Aquiles Priester and others. Joe plays a Pearl Masters Custom drum kit and lists influential bands such as Muse, Rush, Dream Theater and Tool among his favorites. Born in Puerto Rico and having grown up in the New York City area, Joe's exposure to many different styles over the years - everything from Fusion to Prog Rock to Top 40 - has helped him develop a style as unique as Spiral Logic's diverse set list.
